supporting our foster kids
Who are we?Guardian Friends of Lewis County was founded in 2009 by a group of Guardians ad Litem to help bridge the financial gap left by falling State Budgets and increasing cost of living for our families in Dependency. Our foster children are often left out of extracurricular activities and milestones their peers often take for granted. Guardian Friends seeks to fill the needs and desires of foster children so they can participate in activities that are often closed to them. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization. We are an all-volunteer organization with minimal overhead so all donations go directly to help our Lewis County Foster children. Receipts provided for tax purposes.

“Every child deserves a champion — an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.” – Rita F. Pierson

Christmas ProjectEach year Guardian Friends of Lewis County provides local foster children with the exact gift they most desire for a perfect Christmas celebration. While other Christmas projects offer generic gifts, we buy items in the exact color, size, and name brand the child prefers. This enables them to return to school rockin’ the cool shoes and clothes their classmates wear. We also provide bikes, sporting equipment, books, and toys each child likes. We work with our local business community members who sponsor many of these gifts. If you, your family or friends have a business that would like to participate please drop us a line using our handy email form.
